Anglo American Platinum Limited is the world’s largest primary producer of platinum. They contracted Fuzzy Logic to conceptualise and develop a solution that would improve internal company communications, training, awareness and engagement around compliance.
They wanted a more engaging and fun way to deliver core messages and training around what can be a very dry area of communication while tracking performance in the background.
Using AR we brought their training materials to life with a range of content embedded in everyday objects. Their internal comms character, Manny, became AR Manny, who, once activated through the app, climbed out of mugs and jumped out of calenders to impart information.
Animations and videos aimed at educating staff about training and upcoming events were also embedded in posters, leaflets and a number of other objects typically found in the office and on workers’ desks. In addition, we used gamification to improve engagement and overall retention of knowledge. This was tracked and monitored by a bespoke analytics tool to improve future updates.
